| Sharing Our Thoughts and the Feedback We Received
About the 2006 SRA Biennial Meeting
We hope you learned as much and had as good a time as we did at SRA. Wow! What a great meeting. The quality of the science was superb. If two decades ago we had a small hill of knowledge about adolescent development, we now have a mountain of basic and applied, empirically based knowledge of adolescent development.
But before we go on, there is a group of outstanding SRA staff whom we want to thank and congratulate for a superb job at managing the planning and execution of the meeting. First, we want to thank Susan Custer, Executive Officer of SRA. Susan did an outstanding job leading the SRA team in production of a fabulous biennial meeting. Thelma Tucker, Program Operations Manager; Birgit Swanson, Meeting Planner; and Elizabeth Anderson, Volunteer Coordinator; were also integral members of the Biennial Meeting Planning Team. The other highly efficient and competent staff include: Amy DeBrecht Glaspie, Detra Davis, Stephanie Church, and Sandy West. You most likely met some of these dedicated professionals at the Registration Desk, and you probably
noticed the friendly and courteous manner in which they operated throughout the meeting.
We are pleased that so many of you came to the SRA Biennial Meeting in San Francisco. Specifically, all 1,950 attendees! From our perspective and from the comments that we received, the meeting was enjoyable and very successful. A highlight was that the meeting really showcased the research of international members and presenters.

The review committees all had at least one international member or chair and the invited program also had international diversity. It was amazing to look through the program book and see the diversity of nations represented at the meeting. European countries were well represented, and there also were attendees from the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Australia, and South America. The international theme really contributed greatly to a successful meeting.
Feedback from Some Specific Sessions
The biennial meetings are a rich resource, one in which we hope every member will have an opportunity to share. SRA is striving to include in the biennial meeting program a wide range of topics as well as a diverse group of presenters from many disciplines around the globe. With increases in submissions, we are making adjustments to the meeting schedule to accommodate more presentations.

So, as future generations of students come into your classrooms, we hope that you will encourage them to attend a variety of sessions on many topics and take the opportunity to network with others, particularly scholars in their area(s) of interest.
We could not be more pleased with the success of the meeting. Of course, there are always arenas that call for improvement, so please let us know what you think we can do to improve our next meeting.
Thank you for coming to SRA, and we look forward to seeing you in Chicago in March 2008.
