"Caged Brats"
By T. Unsworth,
Sunday Times (3 May 1998), Magazine p.32-4, 36
The case of a 16-year-old Californian David Van Blarigan has raised the question of where the rights of parents end and those of a young adult's begin. Despite never being in trouble with police, he was 'kidnapped', taken 700 miles for a psychiatric assessment, then despatched to the Tranquility Bay boarding school in Jamaica, a 'behaviour modification school' or 'tough punishment camp'. The case has drawn attention to an industry that many had no idea existed - a group of companies that help facilitate the process by which parents send their children to such institutions. (Quotes from original text)

"The one where it ends"
by J. Colgan
Guardian (19 Jun 2001), pp.7
A generation has loved, laughed and cried with Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler and Joey. But now, after eight years, we've all grown up and the 'Friends' are leaving our screens. Pays tribute to the comedy that formed a backing track for young adulthood in the nineties. (Original abstract - amended)
