A message from the SRA President, Reed W. Larson: A good conference is one during which new conversations and relationships are initiated; old ones are renewed as well. New concepts and discoveries are shared, and the field grows and comes to life in new ways. The 2010 submitted and invited programs are very diverse—in populations studied, methods employed, and theories being advocated. There will be more genetic and neurological work than in the past, more on adolescents’ experiences with the Internet, new conceptions of identity, and cutting edge research in numerous other domains. Please join us in Philadelphia to share the possibilities.

We encourage you to visit the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors website where you can download a Visitor’s Guide, take a photo tour, and use interactive maps to plan your conference breaks. The headquarter hotel, Philadelphia Marriott Downtown , is literally blocks from many historic sites and immediately adjacent to Chinatown, Antique and Jewelers’ Row, and the Washington Square historic neighborhood (including the “gayborhood”). It also is within walking distance to the historic Italian Market, where local, affordable food and great shopping abound. And the hotel is next door to the Market East rail station—you take the train from the airport (only $5.50).
